The Wachowski's to direct sci-fi action film JUPITER ASCENDING

Lana and Andy Wachowski are set to make their first major sci-fi action film since The Matrix. Deadline reports that they are set to make Jupiter Ascending with Warner Bros, with production slated to start this spring. Just like the Matrix trilogy, Jupiter Ascending is an original creation by the duo. At this time the script and logline is being kept under wraps, but the studio is currently searching for an A-list star to lead the cast.

The Wachowskis and Tom Twyker are currently filming the interconnected segments of Cloud Atlas with a cast that includes Tom Hanks, Jim Sturgess and Hugh Grant. This past spring the duo had tried to get their hard R drama project picked up about a gay relationship between a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi, but they have been unsuccessful.  We will keep you posted on this news as it develops. 

Many people did not like Speed Racer. It was nowhere near the awesomeness of The Matrix, but it was mildly entertaining. I am excited to see any film they are involved in. What are your thoughts on this news?
