Joss Whedon Secretly Directed Adaptation of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

I woke up to some surprising news this morning that director Joss Whedon secretly directed and completed filming and adaptation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. I'm not sure how Whedon fit this film in while he was shooting Marvel's The Avengers, it just seems crazy. The film stars some of Whedon's usual suspects which includes Reed Diamond, Amy Acker, Sean Maher, Ashley Johnson, Nathan Fillion and Clark Gregg.

The image you see above is from the films official website. It looks like it will be a contemporary take on the classic story. It will be interesting to see how this movie turns out. What are your thoughts on Whedon taking on this material?
