Movie Being Made about Mythological Flesh-Eating Horses

Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to a young adult fantasy novel called The Scorpio Races. And as the title states the story involves "mythological flesh-eating horses from Celtic lore, a scraggy island that hosts an annual race, a young horse trainer and a young woman (the first female to enter the competition) who eventually fall for each other."

Maggie Stiefvater wrote the book. She is the author of the best-selling Shiver trilogy, which are "young adult novels revolving around werewolves and first love." Sorry but I haven't read any of these books. David Katzenberg and Abrham Lincoln Vampire Hunter scribe Seth Grahame-Smith’s KatzSmith Productions are set to produce.

This sounds like it could end up being a pretty entertaining film! What are your thoughts?

Here's the description from the book:

Some race to win. Others race to survive.

It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line.

Some riders live.

Others die.
