New BATMAN CG Animated Series Coming in 2013 - BEWARE THE BATMAN

Batman is once again going to get a new animated series called Beware the Batman, it will be produced in CGI,and it will premiere in 2013. Here's some information on what the series will include,

According to Register, the CGI animated series will spotlight a classic-looking Batman teaming up with a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and a female ninja sidekick. Beware the Batman is executive-produced by Glen Murakami, and will explore the mythology’s more obscure villains, such as Professor Pyg, but also won't shy away from featuring some of the more well-known Batman foes. In the series, Batman will team up with a younger female sidekick named Katana. During the keynote, Register added that Katana will fill the sidekick role, but won't be a replacement for Robin.

As far as I'm concerned nothing beat the 1990's Batman: The Animated Series, every other Batman series I've seen since then just hasn't connected with me. Maybe some of you have like a few of the series, but I just haven't been able to get into them. 

Register also revealed that Aardman Animation is creating a new series of claymation Batman shorts for the upcoming DC Nation block and a series of animated shorts teaming Wonder Girl, Batgirl and Supergirl called Super Best Friends Forever are in the works as well. DC Nation, debuting Spring 2012 with Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series, will also include Doom Patrol animated shorts.

What are your thoughts on this animated series? Above you will find the first look at the design for the series, and I'm not the biggest fan of it. I'll withhold judgement until I see the show in action.
