Fox adapting THE MAGICIANS fantasy novel into series

Fox has is developing a fantasy drama show with the help of X-Men: First Class writers. Deadline reports that the network will adapt Lev Grossman's The Magicians with a script commitment plus penalty. The script will be penned by Ashley Miller & Zack Stentz and produced by Michael London (Milk), Shawn Levy and Michael Adelstein. The novel is described as "Harry Potter for grown ups." The show is planned as a one-hour drama, which will follow "a group of 20-somethings in New York who study magic and have access to a magical world."

Miller and Stentz have a great TV track record, and have worked on such series as Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Miller, Stentz, London, Levy, Adelstein and Becky Clements will serve as exec producers. The novel already has a sequel, The Magician King, which was published in August.

I am not looking forwsrd to Grimm, which is set to air on ABC. This however, sounds pretty cool. I have always enjoyed magical stories. WHat are your thoughts?
