James O'Barr to reunite with THE CROW producers for GOTHIC

James O'Barr is reteaming with The Crow producers for a new project. O'Barr was just interviewed by Guitar International and talked about his new comic book with Dark Horse comics called Gothic. It's described as "Blade Runner meets 'The Wizard of Oz.'" Not much else is known about this project, but it sounds awesome. O'Barr is also working on a new project with the producers of the original Crow, and there are plans to turn it into a movie. Here is what he had to say:

"We’re working on the film of that at the same time ... I’m working on the screenplay and really heavily involved in the film. On this one, I’m picking all the actors and the artists for the soundtrack."

Here is what he had to say about the remake of the Crow currently in the works:

"I’m still adamant about there being no sequels. It was a closed, ended story. And when Brandon was alive, we did talk about doing sequels because I just thought he brought a nice vitality to the character and I could see future films with him as the character, but….all of that was buried with Brandon. I can’t see anybody else doing it. He put his own mark on the character and it would just….It would be really gratuitous to have some other actor come in and try and duplicate it."
