Paul Walker to Star in Post-Katrina Film HOURS

Fast Five actor Paul Walker has been cast in a upcoming new thriller that is set in a post-Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans. The movie is called Hours, and it tells the story of about a young father (Walker) and his fight to keep his newborn daughter alive in an abandoned New Orleans hospital in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

This sounds like it could be a pretty emotionally intense movie, horror movie screenwriter Eric Heisserer (The Thing, Final Destination, A Nightmare on Elm Street) wrote the movie, and he's also set to direct it making it his first feature film directing gig.

Walker isn't the best actor in the world, but it will be interesting to see him take on a role like this. At least he's trying to do stuff that will help push him, and improve his acting skills. The movie is set to shoot on location in and around New Orleans.
