Sacha Baron Cohen is in final negotiations to join the cast of Quentin Tarantino's next film Django Unchained, which also stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, RAZ, Don Johnson and a few others.
Baron Cohen will fill the last big part in the film, a gambler named Scotty who buys Django's wife as a female companion. According Vareity "Tarantino was very particular on who he wanted to play it, given the character's importance to the story." Baron Choen seems like he would be a perfect fit for the character, what do you think?
The spaghetti southern follows the character Django (Fox), a freed slave, who, under the protection and care of a German bounty hunter (Waltz) becomes a badass bounty hunter himself, and after assisting Waltz in taking down some bad guys for profit, is helped by Waltz in tracking down his slave wife and liberating her from an evil plantation owner (DiCaprio). This film also deals with racism and is handled in a way unlike anything we've ever seen in a film before.
The film will go into production in early 2012, and will be released on December 25th 2012.
