First Trailer for THE HOBBIT Coming in December?

According to actor Andy Serkis who plays Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and the upcoming Hobbit films we will most likely see the first trailer to The Hobbit: A Unexpected Journey this December! When he was asked in a interview when we would see a trailer for The Hobbit he said,

There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually. Around Christmas time, I believe. It's just around the corner.

This means it could end up being attached to two possible big films... Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows 12/16, which is a Warner Bros. film. Or it might end up being attached to The Adventures of Tintin 12/2,1 which is a Peter Jackson produced production, so it makes the most sense to me that it would be attached to that movie, but only time will tell.

In the interview the actor also discusses his work as a Second Unit Director, shooting on the Red One Epic camera at 5K resolution 48 frames a second, and of course in 3D.

It's unlike anything I have ever seen before. The brain has become so attuned to watching films at 24 frames a second. This is something completely different. It's incredible. You feel inside it and surrounded by it. It's really great. People will not be disappointed.

I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed of the outcome of this movie. I really hope we actually get to see a trailer in December! That would be a great Christmas gift!
