Bryan Singer may direct SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN - DiCaprio sought for Lead

It looks like the Weinstein's are finally moving ahead on the long-planned movie version of the Six Million Dollar Man. LatinoReview is reporting that the Weinsteins are making a deal with Universal for a film to be directed by Bryan Singer. This project has been in the works for eleven years, and once had Jim Carrey attached to star.

To be in line with the times, the new film is going to be titled the Six Billion Dollar Man and is based on a book called Cyborg by Martin Caidin. Singer has already met with Leonardo DiCaprio for the lead role, but DiCaprio would like to read a script before committing to the part.

You can usually count me in for any movie DiCaprio is in, and this sounds like something I would like to see him in. What are your thoughts?
