Kurt Russell will be headed back to the big screen thanks to Anchor Bay. THR reports that they have picked up North American rights to the football film Touchback. Don Handfield directed the film that is described as "The Blind Side mixed with It’s a Wonderful Life."

The story follows "a farmer (Brian Presley) who wonders how his life would have turned out had he not scored the winning touchdown of a high school championship game, which resulted in him damaging his knee and losing a chance at a pro career. He finds himself back in time and seeks advice from his coach, played by Russell." The film was written and directed by Handfield, and produced by Presley along with Kevin Matusow and Carissa Buffel.

I am a huge fan of Kurt Russell, and think that the story sounds pretty cool. Russell will play the role of the coach perfectly. What are your thoughts?
