The Classic Arcade style Film PIXELS gets a Release Date

Sony Pictures has announced that they will release the 3D feature film adaptation of Patrick Jean's awesome viral video Pixels on May 17th 2013.

The film tells the story of New York City coming under attack by an army of classic 1980's video game arcade characters. The film was previously described as a Ghostbusters-style action comedy in which characters come out of a video game to wreak havoc in the real world.

Adam Sandler production company Happy Madison is producing the film that was written by Saturday Night Live writing Alumni Tim Herlihy, and being helmed by the original short film director Patrick Jean. I don't know how this movie can't be awesome. What do you think?
