Emma Stone circling HE'S FUCKIN' PERFECT

Emma Stone is in talks to star in a new comedy from Fox 2000. Deadline reports the Amazing Spider-Man actress is in talks to lead He’s Fuckin’ Perfect. The script was penned by first-time feature writer, Lauryn Kahn. Kahn has been Adam McKay's assistant for four years and just landed her first major deal with this script. 

The comedy focuses on a social media savvy girl (Stone) who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her internet research skills to turn herself into his perfect match. Gary Sanchez’s McKay and Will Ferrell will serve as producers on the project. 

Gary Sanchez production had planned to send the script directly to Stone to attract her to the project, but the script leaked and garnered bids from four studios, including Fox 2000.  He’s Fuckin’ Perfect will be one of the main priorities for Gary Sanchez. The company has Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters arriving in March with Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. Production on the Jay Roach-directed comedy Dogfight begins soon and stars Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. Stone is currently filming Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad, but does not have her next film. This film could jump into production sooner than later, but will likely have a title change. 

I am excited to see Stone in anything she stars in. With her wrapping a superhero movie and a more serious period action/drama, she may be interested in starring in a comedy like this. I like her comedic timing and think that Stone is one of those actresses that is good at being in both comedic and more dramatic roles.
