Ender's Game author Orson Scott Card knows the character Ender Wiggin better than any of us. Ender was his creation, so who better to give commentary on the casting of the character than him? Yesterday Asa Butterfield excitedly confirmed that he would officially be taking on the role of Ender n the upcoming film being directed by Gavin Hood. I'm delighted that Asa Butterfield is so happy to be playing Ender Wiggin! I just saw his fine performance in Hugo - best thing in the movie! - and I look forward to seeing him bring Ender Wiggin to life on the screen.
If Card is looking forward to seeing Butterfield take on the role then I think that's a good sign. Butterfield really is a talented young actor, and I have faith that he'll be able to awesomely pull off the part. What do you all think?
