J.J. Abrams wants Benicio Del Toro to play Villain in STAR TREK Sequel

According to Variety director J.J. Abrams wants Benicio Del Toro to take on the main villain role in his upcoming Star Trek sequel! I would love to see Del Toro in a Star Trek film, the guy makes for a great sinister villain, and he would be awesome! It was reported that an official offer could go out to the actor by the time the weekend is over. "Insiders say Del Toro has met with Abrams but, in an effort to keep the role a secret, still doesn't know exactly what it is."

Abrams is all set and ready to direct they sequel that was written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof. The films production is expected to start sometime in early 2012.

I loved the first Star Trek movie that Abrams made, and I'm very excited for this sequel, especially now that Del Toro is in the mix! What do you think about Del Toro playing a villain in Star Trek?
