Nicolas Cage Offered Role in Hammer Film's THE QUIET ONES

Hammer Films is developing another new cool sounding horror film project called The Quiet Ones. The movie "is based on a supposedly true story about a team of Cambridge academics in the 1970's who record their investigation as they attempt to exorcise a poltergeist from a young girl."

The film will be directed by John Pogue who also wrote the movie. Pogue directed Quarantine 2: Terminal, and wrote films such as U.S. Marshals, The Skulls, and Ghost Ship. Bloody-Disgusting also reports that Nicolas Cage was offered the lead role of Joseph in the film who is a "leader of a project known as "Gesit" (a German word for mind, spirit, or ghost, covering the semantic field of these three English nouns). Antti Jokinen was originally attached to direct." There's no word if he will officially star in the film yet, but he seems like he'll do anything these days.

I've always enjoyed watching the Hammer horror movies and they are still making good quality horror films. The most recently released Let Me In, and recently produced that Daniel Radcliff film The Woman in Black. Lets hope this horror movie turns out to be awesome. I guess that all depends on if you like a little Cage in your movies or not.
