Alex Proyas' PARADISE LOST Production gets Delayed

Production has been stopped on the new Alex Proyas directed action film Paradise Lost which is to star Bradley Cooper. The film is based on the epic 17th-century poem by John Milton, and is supposed to be a epic-sized ultimate movie about good vs. evil, and now due to money issues the production has been postponed. The film tells the story of "the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer, including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace."

The movie is set up at Legendary Pictures, and according to Deadline the studio is currently in the process of reworking the budget so they can get the film back into production. They need to reduce the current budget of $120 million dollars by 10% to 15%. This is only temporary and the movie will eventually happen, they filmmakers just have to jump over a few more hoops.

Bradley Cooper will be playing Lucifer in the story, Benjamin Walker is to play the archangel Michael, Diego Boneta will play Adam and Camilla Belle is taking on the role of Eve.

I'm a fan of Proyas' work, and I'm looking forward to see his vision of this story brought to life on the big screen. What are your thoughts?
