STARSHIP TROOPERS Getting some Remake Action
That's right! Starship Troopers is going into remake mode. Sony Pictures and producer Neal Moritz (Fast Five, The Green Hornet) feel no is the right time to reboot the Paul Verhoeven's 1997 sci-fi film Starship Troopers. which was based off of the classic 1959 military sci-fi novel written by Robert A. Heinlein.
They brought on Thor and X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz to write the script for the new film. Unfortunatley, they also wrote the Frankie Muniz film Agent Cody Banks.
It's been a very long time since I've seen the original Starship Troopers movie. I do remember that when I was younger I thought it was pretty awesome, maybe that was because Denise Richards was in it and I thought she was hot at the time. I don't know, maybe I should watch it again... maybe this is a movie that could use a good remake, what do you think?
