TURF Comic Book to get Film Adaptation - Gangsters, Aliens and Vampires

The Jonathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards Image comic Turf has been optioned by Benderspink, who obviously has plans to turn it into a feature film. The idea sounds ridiculously awesome.

I've never read the comic book, but the story is set during 1920s Prohibition-era New York and it features period gangsters fighting vampires and aliens over Turf. 

I know we've got a long way to go until we see this get adpated into a film, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out! Have you read the comic? Do you think it will make for an awesome movie?
