Alexandre Aja to Direct Joe HIll's Horror Story HORNS

Piranha 3D director Alexandre Aja is set to direct the adaptation of Joe Hill's horror novel Horns. The film will be a love story driven by horror and vengeance that revolves around a 26-year-old man who wakes up one morning from a blackout hangover and finds horns sprouting out of his head. As the horns grow bigger by the day, the reason why seems to lie in the unsolved murder of his girlfriend.

The movie is set up at Mandalay Pictures and the script was written by Scott Bunin. Back in March it was reported that Shia Labeouf had been cast as the lead in the movie, but there was no mention of him in the report today, so I'm not sure if he's still doing it.

For those of you who don't know Hill is the son of Stephen King, and he's a solidly good writer as well. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie brought to the big screen. What do are your thoughts on Aja bringing this story to life? I think he'll end up doing a solid job.
