Double Fine Bringing Sesame Street to the Xbox 360

Tim Schafer’s Double Fine Productions, makers of such fine games as Psychonauts and the recent Stacking, announced today they’ve signed on to produce Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, their first licensed title.

According to a press release from Warner Brothers, the game (called a “living storybook”) will focus on problem solving, relationships, and teaching “key life skills.” It will employ Microsoft’s Kinect Sensor to bring kids into the Sesame Street world and interact with its characters. Finally, after years of urging someone to tell us how to get there, we know the way!

The game will be published by Warner Brothers Interactive this fall.
