First Look at Joe Carnahan's THE GREY

Joe Carnahan the director of The A-Team and Smokin' Aces is currently developing his new film called The Grey, which reteams him with badass actor Liam Neeson, and above is the first image we've seen from the film, which comes from the next issue of Entertainment Weekly.

The rest of the cast includes Dallas Roberts, James Badge Dale, Dermot Mulroney,  Frank Grillo (Warrior), Nonso Anozie and Joe Anderson.

The story follows a group of oil-rig workers stranded in the hunting zone of a pack of rogue wolves on the frozen Alaskan tundra after a plane crash. The indie will be shot in frigid locations in Vancouver in the Northern British Columbia region are numbingly cold.

In a previous interview the director expressed his excitement for the story:

The wolves have a territorial range of 300 miles, and they will run you out if you cross that. If you’re within 30 miles of their den as is the case here, they will try to kill you. It’s simple arithmetic, but it creates an opportunity for one of those man vs. nature movies I love like Deliverance and Touching The Void.
