Will Kevin Costner Join Zack Snyder's SUPERMAN?

It looks like theres a strong possibility that Kevin Costner will take on a key role in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman film. If cast he will be joining Henry Cavill who was cast in the role of Clark Kent/Superman. There's no information of the character they want Costner to play in the film. We have no idea if he'll play a good guy or a villain, but we should known soon enough. One thing I do know is that Costner plays a really crappy villain, so let hope he doesn't take on that kind of role in the film.
The new Superman reboot is being produced by by Chris Nolan, Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan, and it's scheduled to be released in December 2012.
