Louis Leterrier Set to Direct Epic Sci-Fi Tentpole film called G

Just last week Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier signed on to direct a crime thriller called Now You See Me. Today he's been set to direct a big sci-fi epic disaster type film called G for Universal Pictures.

So what is G? The story is an original idea that's being kept under wraps, but it's described as a film that shades of The Day After Tomorrow and Taken. The production team is currently on the hunt for a screenwriter to write the script. I honestly don't have a lot of hope for this one. Sure it may look good, but the way big tenpole films are being made these days the story is bound to suck, and lets face it... Leterrier is no Christopher Nolan. But let's hope it doesn't end up being as bad as a Roland Emmerich film.

I honestly don't think that Leterrier has got what it takes to make a big budget epic type film. He really dropped the ball with Clash of the Titans. I like the smaller type action films that he's made in the past, but I can't say I'm very excited about this G film. What do you all think?
