Platinum Dunes and Sony Start a War with ZOMBIES VS. ROBOTS

That's right peeps! Platinum Dunes and Sony Pictures have acquired the rights to IDW Publishing's Zombies Versus Robots.  The comic book series was created by Chris Ryall and Ashley Wood. According to Deadline, the story at the center of the comic will serve as the basis for JT Petty's script Inherit the Earth and will be produced by Platinum Dunes, IDW and Circle of Confusion. 

The film focuses on a young girl who is the last survivor of Earth and is being protected by robots. Protection from what? A group of highly intelligent zombies. Bam!

Wood is also the artist behind another post-apocalyptic robot story, World War Robot, set to be adaptated by Walt Disney Pictures under producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
