Peter Stormare has been cast in Tmmy Wirkola's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters according to Deadline. Yesterday we shared with you that Ingrid Bolsø Berdal had been cast and now Stormare is set to star opposite Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen.
D.W. Harper wrote the reimagined tale which focuses on the brother and sister fifteen years after surviving the ordeal at the gingerbread house and are now full-time witch hunters. Renner and Arterton play the titular siblings, with Berdal playing one of the witches in the pack led by Janssen. Stormare is set to play the role of Berringer, a crooked town sheriff.
Tommy Wirkola knows how to handle zombies as is evident from Dead Snow and I am anxious to see him take on witches come March 2, 2012 when this is released.
