Joel McHale Cast in Seth MacFarlane's TED
Joel McHale (Community, The Soup) is the latest actor to join the cast of Seth MacFarlane's R-rated comedy TED. McHale joins a great cast of actors that includesMark Wahlberg, MilaKunis, Adam Scott, GiovanniRibisi and Seth MacFarlane himself.
I honestly can't wait to see what MacFarlane has in store for us with this film, there's no doubt it's going to be ballsy and cross the line, which always makes for a good time. It will also be interesting to see how offensive it will be to some people, MacFarlane's good at that.
As previously reported:
The movie is going to be a hard-R film that follows an average Boston guy (Wahlberg) who's normal except for the childhood wish he made that his teddy bear could come to life... and it did. Years later, the boy is an adult and the bear is still his best friend. But the bear, a carousing, irresponsible slacker, is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves. Ribisi will play Donny, a man who's obsessed with Ted.
The film will also feature “a racist homosexual, a woman obsessed with talking about men shaving their assholes, and a ‘Jewish-looking’ person who makes anti-Semitic remarks.”
The Family Guy creator co-wrote the film with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. MacFarlane will be providing the voice of the CG-generated title character Ted.
