The Coen Brothers Planning a Horror Film!?

It looks like the Coen Brothers may end up developing a full-on horror film! How freakin' incredible would that be! I think most of their films already have little elements of horror in them, but making a film completley immersed in the world of horror is a pretty awesome thought. Ethan Coen recetnly did an interview with Empire and when asked about his future plans, here's what he had to say,

Gambit was just a writing job. It seems like the movie is going to get made but not by us; it never was to have been. Old Fink, the Barton Fink sequel, John Turturro is not old enough yet. And the whole thing may be more a thought experiment than a movie. We don't really know what we're doing yet; we're working on a couple of scripts.

He was then asked if he would ever concider making a full-on horror film, and to that he replied,

Funny you should ask, yes, we're working on a couple of scripts now, one of which it would be fair to call a full-on horror movie. Frances McDormand is the monster.

The McDormand as the monster part was a joke, but they really are working on a script for a horror film. We have no idea what it will be about, but just the thought of this talented duo making a horror film is enough to get me excited. I hope they follow through with it. As far as a Barton Fink sequel is concerned... I 'd love to see that eventually happen as well.
