Here are My Thoughts on BATTLE: LOS ANGELES, What are Yours?

Battle: Los Angeles opened up this weekend, and I just wanted to see what you all thought about this alien invasion sci-fi film.

I went and saw the movie last night, and I thought it was pretty entertaining. I had a fun time watching this popcorn flick, and that's what it was. Battle: Los Angeles was a non-stop action fest, and I loved that about this flick. It actually helped cover up the fact that the script and dialogue for this film were terrible. There was one point in the film where the action did stop and Aaron Eckhart had to give this inspiring, "we can do this!" speech... holy crap, it was awful, I was honestly embarrassed for Eckhart. But, once he was finished and they got back into fighting the aliens everything was ok. It was awesome watching these humans and aliens battle it out.

This movie had a lot of potential. I loved the concept of mixing the military film style of Black Hawk Down with an alien invasion. That was such a cool idea, and it translated very well on the big screen. Jonathan Liebesman did a great job directing the action sequences, and the special effects were solid. I just wish the filmmakers would have spent a little more time working on the story and dialogue. Had they polished out those weaknesses this movie would have been great.

So, what did you all think about the movie?
