The production, which top lines Clancy Brown , Clifton Collins, and Dan Fogler as an elite and secretive division of exorcists fighting the worst of the demonic, is described as a genre mash up of “The Hangover” and “The Exorcist.” Lawrence Mattis of Circle of Confusion, which produces the elevated genre hit “The Walking Dead” on AMC, is producing, along with Jon Denny, David Moscow and Offhollywood Picture’s Mark L. Pederson and Aldey Sanchez. The film is being lensed in Brooklyn, NY.
Hellbenders is using the new EPIC camera systems from RED Digital Cinema, which is also being used to shoot Spiderman 4, The Hobbit and Jack The Giant Killer.
