Michael Sheen in Talks to Join Tim Burton's DARK SHADOWS
Tim Burton has brought together a great cast for his next film Dark Shadows based on the classic 1960's TV series. So far he's got Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter all set to star in the feature film adaptation.
Now it looks like Michael Sheen (Tron: Legacy) could be joining the cast in a supporting role. He's currently in talks to join the film, but there's no word on what character he will end up playing. Sheen will make a great addition to the cast. He recently worked with Burton and Depp on Alice in Wonderland, he voiced the White Rabbit.
The story centers on the vampire Barnabas Collins (Depp), who is in search of his lost love, Josette. Green plays Angelique Bouchard, a witch who is obsessively in love with Barnabus. Pfeiffer is set to play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the matriarch of her brood who has not left her mansion in the decade following the disappearance of her husband, Bonham Carter is playing Dr. Julia Hoffman, a specialist in psychology and rare blood disorders, Haley has taken on the role of the con artist Willie Loomis who ends up being Barnabas' slave, and Heathcote will play Victoria Winters, the governess of the Collins estate.
The long-running 1960's soap opera has over 1,225 episodes, and featured a great deal of Gothic horror players like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.
