Mila Kunis Officially Cast in OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

Mila Kunis is officially set to star in Sam Raimi's next film OZ, The Great and Powerful being set up at Disney Studios. It was reported last month that she was in talks for the role, but there was a chance she wouldn't take it. She will play Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the film which serves as a prequel to 1939's The Wizard of Oz. The movie dives into the the origins of the Wizard and how he came to Oz. It will also tell the story of the infamous witches such as Glinda, who becomes the Good Witch of the North, and Evanorah, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the East.

Kunis will co-star along side James Franco, who is playing the Wizard, "a fast-talking snake oil salesman and illusionist who flees a traveling circus and winds up whisked away in a hot air balloon by a tornado to Oz where he must face off against real magic and the sisters battling for control of the land."

Kunis' character Theodora starts out as a good witch, alongside her beautiful sister Glinda, but after her sexual advances are jilted by The Wizard, she's convinced by Evanora to switch sides and help her older sister rule Oz. Actresses up for the role of the two other witches include Olivia Wilde, Amy Adams, Kate Beckinsale, Keira Knightley and Rebecca Hall.

Here's another description of the story:

They would have the Wizard — a snake-oil salesman posing as a magician — enter Oz via a hot-air balloon, which he uses to escape an angry husband who has found out that Oz slept with his wife. There, Oz — a fast-talking huckster who wears a velveteen frock coat — falls in love with Glinda (the Good Witch), and the two combine forces to Fight the Evil Witches Evanora and Theodora. Theodora starts out as a good witch, but after Oz jilts her sexual advances, Evanora — the truly evil witch — convinces Theodora to become an evil witch with her and help her to rule all of Oz. Both Evanora and Theodora are described as incredibly attractive, seductive women, and Theodora likes to wear black, thigh-high boots.

Raimi plans to shoot his OZ film this summer, and no release date has been set for the movie yet. I think Kunis will make for a great witch in the film, and I'd love to see Wilde cast in the movie as well, but what do you think about Kunis being cast, and who would you like to see ply the other two witches?
