THE SMURFS Gets a New Release Date

Here's a quick note for those of you who care... Sony Pictures has moved the release date of their CG animated film The Smurfs from August 3rd to July 29th 2011. The move comes after Fox set Rise of the Apes for August 5th. The studio didn't want their crappy looking animated movie competing with a high profile remake.

I don't know what the rest of you think about The Smurfs, but I think it looks terrible.
