Ever wonder what it was like to be at a Star Trek convention before everyone jumped on board the Star Trek band wagon, and became a huge money making business? It was a time of real hard core Trekkie geeks who got together for their sheer love of a cancelled series.

This video footage is like looking into a time capsule of what these kinds of conventions were like before most of us where even born. It was these fans that actually helped launch the Star Trek movie franchise. Think about it, if they didn't exist we may have never seen the story of the Star Trek universe continue.
