The highly anticipated HBO series Game of Thrones is set to premiere this Sunday, and I can't wait! The show looks like it's going to be incredible! HBO is pretty confident that the series is going to blow up that the cable network has told showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss to start coming up with storylines for a second season. HBO series chief Sue Naegle says that network executives feel optimistic that the series will get another round.

We’re not nervous about it. We’re all hopeful for a second season. We’re all feeling confident creatively.

They should be confident, from what I've seen that have a freakin' fantastic series on their hands. If you haven't noticed, Game of Thrones is the most epic and ambitious fantasy TV series ever produced. The George R.R. Martin’s bestselling novels also have a huge fan base, a fan base that will most likely subscribe to HBO just to watch this series. On top of that the first 10-episode season of the series cost at least $50 million to produce, this makes Game of Thrones one of the more expensive first TV seasons ever produced.

As of right now nothing is set in stone and has yet to get an official green light, but it sounds like it will most likely happen.
