AMC takes on reality TV with MAD MEN and Homeland Security themed shows

AMC is breaking into reality TV with two new shows, one that explores the high-pressure world of advertising and the behind-the-scenes drama at the Department of Homeland Security. The cable network has had great success with Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead. I am also loving their new show, The Killing

One show is called, The Pitch, and focuses on the creative process at ad agencies. The other show is titled Inside DHS, which gives audiences a look at the government division that fights terrorism. These will be the first two unscripted shows for the network. A third series about renowned boxing trainer Freddie Roach, is still in development. The goal of AMC execs is to broaden the scope of programming for the network. Breaking Bad and Mad Men have won Emmys and accolades, while The Walking Dead broke ratings records for the channel.

Inside DHS is from Pilgrim Films & Television's Craig Piligian (The Ultimate Fighter, My Fair Wedding). Eli Holzman and Stephen Lambert from Studio Lambert, producers of Undercover Boss and Project Runway, are executive producers of The Pitch. I am a fan of reality TV and think these shows sound cool. If AMC is behind these series, then I have faith.

What are your thoughts on this news? Are these shows you will tune in for?
