McG's OUIJA Movie Gets a New Screenwriter

Movie McGOuija by Joey Paur

Screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos has been called in to rewrite Universal Picture's supernatural action-adventure film Ouija, which is set to be directed by that McG guy, you know the one that made that crappy Terminator film.

Spiliotopoulos has written a lot of second tier straight-to-DVD animated movies like The Jungle Book 2, Cinderella 3, The Lion King 1 1/2, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, The Little Mermaid Prequel, and several more. Yeah, McG and this guy working together? Forget about it... there's no hope at all that the movie will be good. The scribe will work off an original screenplay that was written by Lost writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz

I just find it hilarious that the studio wants to make a family friendly film about a game that is best known for harnessing the power of the devil and demons. I don't know about the rest of you, but playing around with a Ouija board growing up scared the living shit out of me.

It seems like this project is just on the downward spiral of being a bad movie.
