Glee's Chris Colfer sells LITTLE LEFTOVER WITCH pilot to Disney

Chris Colfer has just sold a pilot to the Disney Channel. Colfer has already won a Golden Globe for his role on Glee, but he's also a talented writer. He just penned a pilot called The Little Leftover Witch. Based on a children’s book of the same name by Florence Laughlin, the series tells the story of "a little witch who was taken in by a family after crash-landing from her broom." The book rights were purchased for Chris to adapt by Rick Fine, the husband of Colfer's agent Meredith Fine. Colfer wraps production on Glee in the spring then joins the cast on tour. After that he returns to star in the indie feature Struck By Lightning, which he also wrote and which Brian Dannelly (Saved) is directing. He will then return for the third season of Glee this fall.
I am not a fan of Glee, but this sounds like a good children's series. What are your thoughts on this news?
