Movie trailer for TERRI starring John C. Reilly

Here is the trailer for the indie comedy Terri directed by Azazel Jacobs and starring Jacob Wysocki, John C. Reilly, Creed Bratton (The Office), Olivia Crocicchia, and Bridger Zadina.  The film is a coming-of-age tale about an overweight and unpopular teen (Wysocki) who dresses in pajamas but strikes up an unlikely friendship with his school’s vice principal (Reilly). The film played at both Sundance and SXSW this year and opens in theaters on July 1st.

Synopsis:

Orphaned to an uncle who is ailing, mercilessly teased by his peers, and roundly ignored by his jaded teachers, Terri finds himself alienated and alone. But when the dreaded vice principal, Mr. Fitzgerald, sees a bit of himself in the boy, they establish a friendship that encourages Terri to consider the possibility that life is something to be shared, even enjoyed, not just endured.

Watch the trailer below and in HD at Apple:

Terri looks to be a nice mix of comedy and drama with a healthy dose of real life (which is lacking in your average comedy). The characters look to be dealing with real issues, making the film easy to relate to. Reilly looks to be right at home in this film. It is nice to see Bratton outside of The Office
