Paula Malcomson has been Cast in THE HUNGER GAMES
Caprica co-star Paula Malcomson has joined that cast of The Hunger Games. She will play the mother of Katiness (Jennifer Lawrence) and Prim (Willow Shield) in the story.
The mothers name is never mentioned in the book. But the death of her husband left her in a deep depression, and Katiness resented her for it. It left her unable to properly care for Katniss and her sister Prim, which meant Katrinis was left to be the provider.
This is a perfect role for Malcomson, if you watched Caprica then you know she can pull of the mood of depression extremely well.
Malcomson also joins Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Amandla Stenberg, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid and Elizabeth Banks. The film will be directed by Gary Ross.
