It's been reported that multiple endings have been filmed for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) let the news slip a few weeks ago. Tom Felton recently clarified McCrory's statement about the endings during an interview with MTV.
Felton had this to say:
"Different endings is definitely an exaggeration. One of the beauties we had is that we stuck originally to the book and filmed everything. Now, of course, we can't have a four hour film. Obviously, the director is going to have to pick and choose. Even I'm excited to see exactly what happens, because I haven't seen the final cut."
He goes on to mention that the film's conclusion have some differences from J.K. Rowling's books:
"There will definitely be alterations. Not necessarily alternate endings. I'm sorry to inform you that Draco doesn't win in the end and overpower Harry and get the girl! It just doesn't happen for him, I'm afraid."
As much as I would love to see every page of the book arrive on screen, I know that is just not possible. I am confident however that the film will be one that fans will love. I have read all of the books and have really enjoyed the film's so far. It is great ot see Felton is starring in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which I am also excited for. Be sure to head over to MTV to read the full interview.
