Luke Greenfield directing action comedy for 20th Century Fox

Luke Greenfield has landed a high six-figure spec deal for an untitled action comedy with 20th Century Fox. Greenfield recently directed the romantic dramedy Something Borrowed, which opens May 6 from Warner Bros and Alcon. Simon Kinberg is producing the film as part of his overall Fox deal. The script was written by Greenfield and Nicholas Thomas. Fox is currently looking for actors to play the two leads in the edgy action-comedy, which is slated to shoot in the fall.

Kinberg is producing with Genre Films' Aditya Sood and Wide Awake's Greenfield. Kinberg is currently involved with post-production on Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class and the McG-directed This Means War. He's also serving as exec producer on Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and the Neill Blomkamp-directed Elysium

I am not interested in seeing Something Borrowed, but this project sounds decent. Kinberg is involved in a number of cool projects, so I am going to trust his judgement.
