Epix films are now available on Dish Network on demand

Dish Network has added thousands of titles from Epix to it's Dish Online service, according to Variety. The satcaster has agreed to add 3,000 titles from its library of films from Epix backers Paramount, Lionsgate, MGM, Samuel Goldwyn and Roadside Attractions. That means that films like, Star Trek, The Last Airbender, Iron Man 2, Shutter Island and Kick-Ass are now available. Dish Platinum customers who subscribe to Epix will be able to access these films for free. Consumers also can access the titles from EpixHD.com.

Dish Online is just like Hulu, and features a large selection of movies and TV shows, as well as music fare for free or as rentals, and links to subscribers' DVR recordings. Dish continues to add content that can play across multiple devices. There were 14.13 million subscribers as of last December. This is a smart move for the studios, because it has the possibility to turn into a big source of revenue in the future. Epix movie channels were first added to Dish Network a year ago. T
