Rob Riggle to play 21 JUMP STREET villain

Despite liking Jonah Hill, I have not been too excited for 21 Jump Street. I never was a fan of the TV series and so far, Channing Tatum film's have not been that impressive.  There may be a shining light at the end of the tunnel because Variety is reporting that Rob Riggle has been cast as the main villain. The film is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and is about "a special police division that hires young-looking cops to pose as high school students and weed out crime." The cast also includeds Ice Cube and Brie Larson. Riggle got his start on Saturday Night Live and has been a frequent Daily Show corespondent. He starred in four movies last year including, The Other GuysGoing the DistanceKillers, and Furry Vengeance.

It will be interesting to see Riggle in the role of a villain. I love his comic presence and am excited for this news. I may actually want to see this film now. What are your thougths?
