William Fichtner joins Neil Blomkamp's ELSYIUM

William Fichtner has joined the cast of Neil Blomkamp's Elysium, according to Variety. Unfortunatley we don't have any new story details, but this casting is awesome in my opinion. We do know that the story is set 100 years in the future, has a social allegory, and that Syd Mead, designer of Blade RunnerAliens, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture, is doing the film's set design. Fichtner joins the cast that already includes Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley and Wagner Moura. Production is set to start in July with a release date slated for March 8, 2013 by Sony.

I have always been a fan of Fichtner and am excited about this news. I have yet to watch Drive Angry 3D, but Fichtner is the reason I will. What are your thoughs on this news?
