Arnold Schwarzenegger set to star in Jee-woon Kim's LAST STAND

Movie Casting by Joey Paur

There's a report claiming that Arnold Schwarznegger is attached to star in a new film being directed by Jee-woon Kim called Last Stand. If you're not familiar with Kim's work yet, this is the guy who recently made a couple great films called The Good the Bad the Weird, and I Saw the Devil. Kim is one hell of a talented director and his next film Last Stand sounds like it going to be awesome. This will be Schwarzengger's first live action-film since leaving office as governor. As you know he's currently looking ot develop an animated series called The Governator which looks terrible.

Schwarzenegger will be taking on the role of a sheriff in the film which has been described as a mix between Gone in Sixty Seconds and High Noon. Liam Neeson was originally set for the role, but left the project earlier in the year.

The story will follow the exploits of a drug cartel leader who blasts his way out of a courtroom, steals a car, and heads towards the Mexican border. Arnold Schwarzenegger will play a sheriff with an inexperienced staff who becomes involved with trying to stop the cartel leader from entering Mexico after the two parties inadvertently cross paths.

This is such a badass film project for Schwarzenegger, and I hope this news turns out to be true becaase it still has yet to be confirmed. If anyone can gloriously launch Arnold back in the movies it's Jee-woon Kim.

What are your thoughts on this?
