Jonathan Levine to direct futuristic thriller LEGEND

Jonathan Levine has signed on to to direct Legend, based on the upcoming novel by Marie Lu. The futuristic thriller takes place in L.A. "more than 100 years in the future, when North America is split into two warring nations. A teenage prodigy is hired to hunt down the nation's most wanted criminal, until they join forces after learning an impossible truth about their totalitarian leaders." Legend is being produced by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. 

Not much else is known about this project at this time. This film is a definite departure from Levine's last film, The Wackness. He is a solid director, and I am interested in seeing how this story develops. What are your thoughts on this news?
