Matt Dillon is set to star alongside Malin Akerman in the Linda Lovelace biopic Inferno. Screen Daily reports the news and reveals that production is slated to begin on July 17th. Dillon will play Chuck Traynor in the film being produced by Muse. There is another Lovelace film in the works from directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl). The untitled film has Kate Hudson attached as Lovelace and James Franco circling the role of Traynor.
Inferno may not have as good of a cast as the other biopic, but it seems to be farther along. Franco has yet fo finalize a deal to star, so that could change. I am not a fan of Hudson, so I am more interested in seeing Akerman's film.
