Ian McKellen, Judi Dench, Gillian Anderson, and Mark Williams are set to star in Matthew Butler’s 18th century zombie film, The Curse Of The Buxom Strumpet. The film was co-written by Tori Hart and tells the story of "inhabitants of a small seaside town are struck down with a deadly illness."
The film is an extension of Butler’s short comedy film E’gad Zombies, which McKellen also starred in. This film is being produced by Butler and Hart for their UK production company Fizz and Ginger, with Margaret Matheson serving as executive producer. The film is being sold at Cannes, with shooting on the low budget (£2m) film slated for later this year in Scotland.
I am interested in anything zombie related so this sounds like it will be right up my alley. The cast is perfect for this period film. I am also interested in seeing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
