Video Game Publisher Ubisoft to start making Movies

Movie Ubisoft by Joey Paur

The popular video game publisher Ubisoft has launched a new film division called Ubisoft Motion Pictures. The goal of which is to make feature films and TV series from their popular game franchises. So it's possible that we'll eventually see a film adaptation of Assassins Creed, which would be awesome. Some of there other popular properties include Red Steel, Beyond Good & Evil, Far Cry, H.A.W.X, Myst, Prince of Persia, RaymanTom Clancy's video game franchise, and several more.

According to Variety, the Paris-based film division will be headed by former CEO of Luc Besson's EuropaCorp., Jean-Julien Baronnet. Gallic producer Didier Lupfer (Gainsbourg) is in charge of production and development, while former topper of distribution at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures France, Jean de Rivieres will handles marketing and international sales.

This is some very exciting news and I would love to see Ubisoft make some great entertaining films to go along with their awesome collection of video game properties. I would love to them get an Assassins Creed film franchise off the ground first. What games would you like to see get adapted into films?
